Family Adventure Mom’s 1. Cycling along the seawall at Vancouver’s Stanley Park and braking for totem poles at Brockton Point. 2. Crossing the Kansas prairie in a covered wagon and camping out under the stars. 3. Visiting 12,000 year-old Niagara Falls on a rainy day--instant waterpark. 4. Rafting down the Deerfield River on a steamy August day in Massachusetts. 5. Feeding sharks at the Curaçao Sea Aquarium in the Dutch Caribbean. 6. Driving up New Hampshire’s 7.6-mile Mount Washington Auto Road and eating a hotdog at the 6,288-foot summit. 7. Watching a 14-foot alligator emerge from the water during a flatboat tour of southwest Louisiana’s Honey Island Swamp. 8. Witnessing glaciers calving (breaking apart and crashing into the water) from our cruise ship balcony on a trip through Alaska’s Inside Passage. 9. Seeing live ravens, along with crowns, sceptres, orbs, swords and other Crown Jewels at England's Tower of London. 10. Spending the night in the 1912-era keepers’ quarters at Rose Island Lighthouse, near Newport, Rhode Island.
